I’m outside the UK. Can I still get Suited insurance?

Suited insures freelancers, contractors, sole traders or private individuals. The insured can be a sole trader, partnership or company. However, the insured must be domiciled in the UK (excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man). 

Can I pay for my business insurance annually?

Suited currently offers cover on a monthly subscription basis rather than annual payments. This gives you the flexibility to make changes or cancel at any time free of admin fees.

What if I change my mind?

If you change your mind within the first 14 days of purchasing your policy, you can get a full refund without any questions asked. Simply contact us and we will cancel your policy and process the refund.

However, if you choose to cancel your policy via your account, keep in mind that the insurance will continue until the end of your prepaid month and no refund will be issued.

I need help logging in. What can I do?

Email not recognised

If you see a message saying your email address is not recognised, please first check for any typos or extra characters. You should also make sure you’re using the same email address you originally set up your account with. If you’re unsure, check any previous emails from Suited to confirm. If the issue persists, please contact us and we’ll help locate your account.

6 digit code not received

If your email address is recognised but you haven’t received the login code, check your spam or junk folder as it may have been filtered there. If you still haven’t received it, please contact us and we’ll help you access your account.

How can I access my documents?

You can access your policy documents by logging in into your Suited customer portal using the email address you used when purchasing your policy.

Can I change my policy myself?

Yes, you can make changes to your cover yourself such as:

  • Increase or reduce limits
  • Add or remove covers
  • Add additional professions
  • Change your personal details
  • Update your address
  • Hibernate your cover when you’re in between contracts

Log in to your account, go to the Policy details, click on "Change" and follow the instructions.

Is there a fee to change my policy?

No, you can change your policy anytime on your Suited account, without any fee.

How do I update my card details?

You can update your card details by logging in into your Suited customer account.

How do I add a profession to my policy?

Adding a profession to your Suited policy is easy. Log in to your account, go to the Policy details, click on "Change" and follow the instructions.

How do I change my payment date?

To change the date on which your payment is taken, you will need to modify your policy.

  • On the specific day of the month that you want your payment to be taken, log in to your Suited account, go to the Policy details page/Insured policy sections and select "Change".
  • Confirm previously given answers or make changes if required.
  • Process the change to your policy.
  • A new payment will be taken straight away and you will be refunded any unsed premium for the previous prepaid month.
  • Future payments will be taken around the date you made the change to your policy.

Can I really cancel my policy anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription anytime free of admin fees by logging in and from the Policy details page selecting "Cancel". Your subscription will end after the current prepaid month. Consider "hibernating" coverage if your cover includes professional indemnity insurance.

Renewals

I have been with Suited for a year. Where is my renewal?

Suited is a continuous insurance cover which means there are no renewals. Your policy continues until you cancel it. We will remind you that you have insurance with Suited at least once a year.

Please log in to your Suited account and refer to your policy documentation for details on how to make a claim. If you are not sure under which policy section you should notify a claim, please contact us.
